For our April Membership Meeting, ICRI’s North Texas Chapter will welcome John Ziebell of Texas Protective Coating Consultants, Inc. (TPCCI) to the lunchtime meeting scheduled for Thursday, April 5th at Pappasito’s Cantina at 10433 Lombardy Lane in Dallas.

This presentation will focus on current developments in the field of chemical grouting and example projects. Topics include:

• What are chemical grouts?
• Types of chemical grouts – features and benefits
• Where they are correctly used – typical applications
• Installation techniques (crack and joint repair, curtain wall grouting, soil stabilization, slab lifting and void filling)
• Safety and environmental concerns
• Questions and demonstrations

Speaker Bio

John M. Ziebell attended The University of Texas from 1961 to 1965, majoring in Chemical Engineering. Mr. Ziebell worked in the chemical process and protective coatings industries in Houston until 1981. In 1981, he founded a manufacturer’s representative agency, Texas Protective Coating Consultants, Inc. (TPCCI), representing protective coating and waterproofing product manufacturers. Mr. Ziebell sold TPCCI in 2001 and served until 2010 as Vice President of Operations for Deneef Construction Chemicals, Inc. Upon retiring from Deneef, he re-acquired TPCCI.  Mr. Ziebell currently has 34 years of experience in the chemical grout industry. He is a member of ICRI, ASCE, and SEAoT, and lives in Magnolia, TX with wife Nealene, and hound dog Abigail.
